It was a beautiful morning for the Elizabeth 8k in Charlotte. I went “off the reservation” from my home running turf of Asheville NC to visit Charlotte and run this race. I’ve done about a dozen Charlotte races in the past and really enjoyed the relative flatness compared to my typical, hilly western North Carolina environment. I like nothing better than a race that tours neighborhoods with great character and rich history such as the Elizabeth area of Charlotte.
I managed to finish 4th out of 14 in my age group. Congratulations to Alexender Townsend and Alice Rogers as winners of the male and female divisions respectively. Results courtesy of Queen City Timing.
