Yiasou Greek Festival 5k – August 26, 2017 – Charlotte NC

A flat, fast race in Dilworth, arguably one of the flattest 5k courses in Charlotte. Be sure to pre-register because THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.

FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS

We partner with the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral to host this race and promote the Yiasou Greek Festival, the southeast largest cultural festival, hosted in September each year. The Cathedral’s GOYA (Greek Orthodox Young Adults) come out on race day and volunteer, making sure everything runs smoothly. The mission of the Greek Orthodox Youth of America (GOYA) is to provide 6th through 12th graders the opportunity for fellowship, service, witness and worship with one another, and with other GOYA members throughout the Holy Metropolis of Atlanta, and from across the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.

ABOUT PARKING

Parking will be extremely limited at the Cathedral, so arrive early. Once that fills you may park up East Boulevard at Kenilworth Commons or along the side streets of East Boulevard. Please be mindful of the race route and avoid parking on streets along the course.

INFORMATION/REGISTRATION

The 5k starts at 7:30 AM.
